Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain vehicles, including engines, transmissions, powertrains, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems efficiently.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, alignments, wheel balancing, and other maintenance services to ensure safety and performance standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools safely and effectively.
- Service GM vehicles and other makes/models with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines for ADAS calibration, vehicle maintenance procedures, and repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and communicate findings clearly to customers.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Solid mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrains, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology calibration and alignment procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Experience working on GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus but not required.
