Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, dependable and detail-oriented associate to support our front desk and night-audit operations. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming guest experience, processing reservations and payments, responding to guest needs and helping maintain smooth hotel operations throughout the assigned shift.
During overnight shifts, the position also completes the hotel’s daily financial close, balances transactions, reviews account activity and prepares reports for the following business day. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, making sound decisions and providing professional guest service during both routine and unexpected situations.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive and professional service.
- Complete guest check-ins, checkouts, room assignments and reservation changes accurately.
- Process cash, credit-card and other guest payments according to hotel procedures.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to guest questions and provide accurate information about hotel services, amenities and the local area.
- Assist guests with requests, concerns and service-recovery situations in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate guest accounts, room charges, payment information and supporting documentation.
- Complete the nightly audit and end-of-day process when assigned to the overnight shift.
- Reconcile front-desk transactions, room revenue, taxes, deposits, credit-card activity and cash.
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies or promptly report unresolved issues to management.
- Prepare and distribute required daily operating, occupancy and financial reports.
- Complete late arrivals, early departures, no-show processing and reservation updates.
- Promote Wyndham Rewards enrollment and accurately explain applicable hotel programs and benefits.
- Communicate guest needs and operational information to housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, sales and hotel leadership.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization and professional appearance of the front-desk area.
- Protect guest confidentiality, hotel funds, keys and sensitive business information.
- Follow hotel safety, security, emergency and incident-reporting procedures.
- Complete shift checklists, logs and handoff communications thoroughly and on time.
- Assist with additional hotel duties when reasonably needed to support guests and operations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is dependable, service-oriented and comfortable handling detailed work while assisting guests. The position requires good judgment, accuracy and the ability to remain calm and professional when working independently.
Required
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to provide courteous and professional guest service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer, typing and data-entry skills.
- Ability to accurately handle payments and complete basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to organize work, follow detailed procedures and complete required reports.
- Ability to handle confidential guest and business information appropriately.
- Ability to remain professional during guest concerns, emergencies and periods of high activity.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
- Availability to work the shifts required for the position, including overnight shifts.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays based on hotel business needs.
Preferred
- Previous hotel front-desk, guest-service or night-audit experience.
- Experience with a hotel property-management or reservation system.
- Previous cash-handling, payment-processing or account-reconciliation experience.
- Familiarity with Wyndham brand standards or Wyndham hotel systems.
- Previous experience working independently during an evening or overnight shift.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.

Pay
- Starting at $13.30 per hour (Front Desk) and $14.00/HR (Night Auditor), depends on experience
- Starting rate will be based on relevant hotel experience, night-audit knowledge, system proficiency and schedule availability
