Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract | ~13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM | 34.5–37.5 Hours/Week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Ultrasound Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures following departmental protocols
- Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment for diagnostic imaging
- Perform quality imaging and ensure patient safety during procedures
- Maintain, clean, and perform minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment
- Ensure adequate supply levels for imaging procedures
- Capture and transfer images to PACS and physician workstations
- Assist radiologists and clinical staff as needed
- Schedule exams, answer calls, and coordinate patient transport when required
- Support orientation and mentoring of new staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and workflow compliance
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent education required
- ARRT certification required
- ARDMS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years ultrasound technologist experience
- Prostate sonography experience required
- VU ultrasound system experience required
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and PACS systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and clinical decision-making ability
- English fluency required
