Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, outgoing person to join our team as a part-time Line Cook/Prep Cook. We have the best schedule available in the industry. No early mornings! No late nights! Limited weekend hours!
While experience is always appreciated, we are willing to train people that do not have any kitchen experience. What matters most to us is the attitude you bring to work and how well you treat the people around you. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working in a lively, team-oriented atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to uphold food safety standards in production
- Support meal preparation for various service periods, including catering events if applicable
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and ensure smooth operation during busy hours
- Follow food handling procedures meticulously to ensure safety and quality in all food products
Preferences
- Previous experience in a food service environment or restaurant setting is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments preferred
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal preparation preferred
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively within a fast-paced setting preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and communicate clearly about tasks and priorities preferred
- Familiarity with food industry regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and hygiene standards preferred
