Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to work on both high and low voltage equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can read and interpret schematics, troubleshoot electrical issues, and perform necessary repairs and installations in an industrial environment. As an Industrial Electrician you report to the Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities include electrical maintenance duties, controls troubleshooting and administrative processes as they relate to the electrical/maintenance department. This position works closely with other departments to ensure the electrical and mechanical infrastructure of the plant is maintained and properly optimized to ensure efficient processing and maximum uptime.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, conveyors, motors, VFDs and components, using hand tools or power tools.
- Diagnosis malfunctioning systems or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance.
- Maintenance and repair of electrical systems across the company.
- Troubleshooting electrical issues.
- PLC maintenance and Troubleshooting.
- Reading and understanding mechanical plans and wiring diagrams
- Work according to project timelines and required processes
- Assist activities of outside contractors working on assigned line(s)
- Work independently (under limited supervision)
- Advises Maintenance Manager and Senior Engineer of electrical/mechanical problems and suggests solutions.
- Follow safety and work procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- proven industrial electrician experience
- Demonstrated electrical and technical aptitude
- PLC knowledge
- Must be able to work from heights
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques
- AC & DC motor control experience (including drives) required
- electrical troubleshooting experience required
- Familiarity with industrial control systems and machinery
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour

- Commercial electrician: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Journeyman Electrician (Preferred)
