We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Cashier/Cook to join our vibrant food service team! Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, take their food orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare a variety of food items following established recipes and safety standards, operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Manage cash register operations, process retail sales transactions, and handle cash handling with precision.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques.
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation standards, food safety protocols, and proper food handling procedures.
- Support food service customer order management by coordinating timely order fulfillment and serving guests promptly.
- Assist with bussing tables, sanitation duties, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the dining area and kitchen environment.
- Operate kitchen equipment responsibly while managing time efficiently during busy service hours to meet customer expectations.
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Proven ability to handle POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail sales transactions and cash register operations.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on friendly communication and positive interactions.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail math tasks.
- Experience working in the food industry, including food safety management, serving, bussing, sanitation, and operating kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with grocery store or retail sales environments is a plus.
