What You'll Be Doing as a Staff Accountant:
- Review and maintain accurate financial records according to organizational standards.
- Monitor figures, postings, and documents for mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
- Classify, record, and summarize financial data using journals and ledgers.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, noting discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end close and maintain the General Ledger.
- Verify and process invoices, ensuring proper account allocation.
- Examine financial statements and reports for accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Provide support to external auditors when needed.
About You as a Staff Accountant:
- 1-5 years of operational accounting experience preferred.
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in software applications such as Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
