Keller Williams Luxury Del Mar is hiring an Assistant Team Leader to help lead growth across our Del Mar Market Center and our newly approved Keller Williams San Diego East County Business Center.
This is a leadership opportunity for a licensed real estate professional with production experience, strong relationship skills, and a meaningful connection to East County San Diego.
This is not an entry-level real estate position, administrative role, or social media marketing job. This is a recruiting, leadership, agent growth, and Market Center-building role for someone who understands the real estate business and wants to step into a bigger opportunity.
The person hired for this role should expect to work in both Del Mar and East County for at least the next 6–12 months, and potentially longer. This role is designed to support both offices during a major growth phase.
For the right person, this role may create the opportunity to earn future consideration for the Team Leader role at Keller Williams San Diego East County. That opportunity is not guaranteed and will be based on performance, leadership, results, cultural fit, timing, and business needs.
About the Role
The Assistant Team Leader will partner directly with the Team Leader/CEO to help drive recruiting, agent growth, retention, productivity, culture, and leadership development across both Del Mar and East County.
This person will help attract agents, build relationships, lead recruiting conversations, support agent productivity, participate in office meetings and events, and help establish a strong Keller Williams presence in East County.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, relational, accountable, professional, and highly comfortable in agent-to-agent business conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit talented real estate agents into Keller Williams Luxury Del Mar and Keller Williams San Diego East County.
- Build and manage a recruiting pipeline of East County and San Diego real estate professionals.
- Conduct recruiting calls, follow-up conversations, coffee meetings, office tours, and recruiting appointments.
- Communicate the Keller Williams value proposition clearly and professionally.
- Build relationships with productive agents, emerging agents, teams, new licensees, and community-connected real estate professionals.
- Help launch, grow, and lead Keller Williams San Diego East County.
- Serve as a visible leadership presence in East County while remaining actively involved in the Del Mar Market Center.
- Help agents connect with appropriate KW tools, training, coaching, masterminds, accountability groups, and leadership opportunities.
- Support agent engagement, retention, production growth, and office culture.
- Participate in leadership meetings, team meetings, Growth Committee, Education Committee, classes, events, and recruiting initiatives.
- Help establish Keller Williams San Diego East County as a serious growth opportunity for agents in La Mesa, El Cajon, Santee, Spring Valley, Lemon Grove, Alpine, Lakeside, and surrounding communities.
Required Qualifications
- Active California real estate license.
- Real estate production experience.
- Strong understanding of the day-to-day realities of being a real estate agent.
- Meaningful connection to East County San Diego.
- Comfortable working from both Del Mar and East County for at least the next 6–12 months, and potentially longer.
- Reliable transportation between Del Mar and East County.
- Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable making calls, setting appointments, recruiting agents, and having business development conversations.
- Professional presence and ability to represent Keller Williams leadership well.
- Ability to lead, influence, and build trust with agents at different production levels.
- Comfortable with goals, metrics, accountability, and performance expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of real estate industry experience.
- Existing relationships within the East County real estate community.
- Keller Williams experience or strong familiarity with Keller Williams models, systems, culture, and training.
- Prior leadership, coaching, recruiting, team-building, sales management, or business development experience.
- Experience training or mentoring other agents.
- Desire to grow into larger leadership responsibility over time.
Compensation
- Base salary: $80,000 annually.
- Performance-based recruiting bonus opportunity.
- Profit bonus opportunity.
- Employee benefits according to Market Center policy and eligibility requirements.
Target total compensation for strong performance is expected to be $150,000+, with upside tied to recruiting results, agent growth, Market Center profitability, East County growth, and leadership impact.
Specific bonus details will be discussed during the interview process.
