We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Drum Instructor to inspire and cultivate musical talent in students of all ages. Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive drum curricula that cater to various skill levels and age groups
- Deliver energetic and motivating drum lessons, incorporating both technical skills and creative expression
- Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging space for all students
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs, including those with special education requirements or early childhood development needs
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement
- Organize and lead student performances, recitals, or showcases to celebrate their achievements and boost confidence
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching music, specifically percussion instruments such as drums, with a strong background in musical performance
- Demonstrated ability in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse learners
- Experience working with children, youth programs, or adult learners in educational settings
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and engagement
- Familiarity with visual & performing arts education principles and experience teaching arts-related subjects like photography or sewing is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and fellow educators
