Join our dynamic automotive team as a Service Writer / Advisor at our reputable dealership, where your enthusiasm and expertise will drive exceptional customer experiences. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs, translating their needs into clear service orders while providing expert guidance on automotive services.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, actively listening to their vehicle concerns and service needs.
- Clearly explain recommended repairs and maintenance procedures, including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension work, transmissions, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
- Prepare accurate auto estimates using dealership management software, ensuring transparency with customers regarding costs and timelines.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of services such as vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Upsell additional services and products by identifying customer needs while maintaining integrity and trust.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of all service activities, customer interactions, and vehicle histories to support ongoing service quality.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or auto service management background with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair processes.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including transmissions, oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension components, brakes, shocks & struts, diesel engines, air brakes, and auto body repairs.
- Experience working with service technicians to coordinate repairs and estimate costs effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and sales techniques to upsell services confidently.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
