MCCA is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to support our Residential 3.5 Program. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall medical and health management of residents receiving substance use and behavioral health treatment.
You will play a vital role in coordinating care, monitoring client health, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, client-centered treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely administer medications and monitor resident response
- Maintain medical histories, records, and clinical documentation
- Monitor health status (vitals, labs) and provide daily nursing care
- Coordinate appointments and collaborate with care providers
- Participate in team meetings, treatment planning, and crisis response
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and confidentiality standards
- Follow agency policies and support additional duties/projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications - Education & Licensure
- Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate degree in Nursing (minimum requirement)
Experience & Skills
- Experience working in a detoxification or residential treatment setting preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral health and/or substance use disorders
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and general computer skills
