Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep production running smoothly by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues accurately, and executing repairs promptly. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
- Repair and replace mechanical parts using welding techniques, <LOCATION> welding skills, and precision measuring instruments.
- Operate field service tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, low voltage testers, and high voltage meters to diagnose electrical problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance through effective mechanical solutions.
Skills
- Extensive experience working in manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting including low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, HVAC/R systems, welding (including <LOCATION> welding), and the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals accurately.
- Strong analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment failures quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or field service clients.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking.
- Industrial electrician experience is highly desirable, along with military background or discipline that emphasizes safety and operational excellence.
