TECHNICAL SKILLS
Expertise in architecting enterprise-level N-tier applications.
Solid understanding and extensive working experience with OMG’s UML 1.5/2.0 standards.
Solid understanding of the .NET Architecture framework and strong .NET based development and implementation experience.
Understands multi-process applications housed on different servers. Familiar with SOA, state machines, rules engines (e.g. RETE-based products, OPS5, etc), and Workflow engines.
Expert understanding of components.
Full lifecycle development experience.
Excellent ability to research, evaluate and recommend technical solutions including open source and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
Ability to formulate solutions and courses of action from small pieces of informatio.
Technical knowledge should also include: Soap, Web Services, XML, XSLT, MSMQ, Microsoft Application Blocks, and SQL Server 2005.
Skillful in identifying architectural risks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Expert in Model driven architecture
This is an extremely technically focused position.
Holds self to high standards regarding great design, standards, and best practices
Can pull from other canonical architectures (e.g. GoF, SOA patterns) to find the best solution for the problem at hand.
Develops solutions that both meet the business functional requirements as well as performance, security, installation, and error handling requirements.
Ability to mentor junior developers and help solve hard problems.
Proactively able to seek out business and technical leaders and ask the right questions to get information needed to get the job done.
Understands the software space and can make build vs. buy decisions that are in the best interest of the company.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years relevant IT experience
