Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential properties, ensuring exceptional tenant satisfaction and operational excellence. In this role, you will coordinate leasing activities, manage property maintenance, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Fair Housing laws, and Section 8 programs. Your leadership will drive occupancy rates, foster positive relationships with tenants and vendors, and uphold the highest standards of property management. Duties
- Manage all aspects of property leasing, including marketing vacant units, conducting tours, and negotiating lease agreements to maximize occupancy.
- enforce lease terms, and handle tenant inquiries with excellent customer service skills.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements such as Landlord-Tenant Law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC guidelines, and Section 8 policies.
- Utilize property management software for data entry, reporting, and record keeping; maintain accurate filing systems for contracts, legal documents.
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor property conditions and address issues proactively.
- Resolve conflicts effectively through negotiation and conflict management techniques while maintaining positive tenant relationships.
- Prepare reports on occupancy rates, financial performance, for senior management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of property leasing and facilities management.
- Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law.
- Strong customer service skills combined with excellent phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of legal contracts related to leasing agreements and vendor negotiations.
- Office experience including data entry, filing, and administrative tasks; legal administrative experience is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while demonstrating strong negotiation skills for upselling opportunities or lease renewals.
