Paralegal/Legal Assistant for established downtown Sarasota general practice firm. Law office experience required. Non-Corporate atmosphere. Must be literate and numerate. Salary commensurate with experience, health insurance, paid vacation.
Duties
- Provide executive administrative support to attorneys
- Communicating with clients or other Lawyer’s offices through email, phone, or in-person meetings
- Filing case documents via the Florida e-portal
- Emailing and making copies of legal documents as needed
- Maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments, and completing documents
- Managing, organizing, and collating legal documents
- Assist in project management by tracking deadlines and coordinating tasks among team members.
- Review legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct thorough research on legal cases, statutes, and regulations as needed
- Proofread documents to ensure clarity, grammar, and formatting are correct
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant or in a similar role within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong clerical skills with proficiency in document review and management.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex information.
- Exceptional proofreading abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Law Office experience preferred.
- College degree preferred.
Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience. Salary range $42,000 to $65,000
