Job Summary:
Under the direction of, and reporting to the Automation Operations Manager, this position is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, debugging and preparation of automation systems to customer specifications. Designing programs, able to teach and train customers and clients as well as maintaining, servicing, and repairing as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Safe, efficient, and courteous completion of assigned Installations and Service
System installed to spec, meeting all items in scope of project
System repairs in the field and at times immediate attention is needed
Down production is number one priority
Responsible for maintaining training on new technologies
Present classes needed to manager
Be open minded to continuous technology changes
Be willing to learn on the fly
Responsible for maintaining detailed documentation
Robot data sheets filled out on every service call or new system install
Return checklist completed on all service calls and installs
Backups saved for every service call and install, and saved per the process
Responsible for Customer Experience Excellence

Role Description The Robotics Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul Area. In this role, the technician installs, configures, and maintains robotic systems, with a focus on robotic welding cells and related automation equipment. Daily responsibilities include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting on robots and controllers, executing preventive maintenance, and calibrating equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The technician collaborates with engineers and integrators to support new system deployments, test and validate robot programs, and assist in system upgrades or modifications. The role also involves documenting service activities, following safety procedures, and providing technical support to internal teams and customers.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Robotics and Robot operation, including setup, programming support, and safe handling of industrial robotic systems.
Candidates should possess skills in Robotic Welding, including working with robotic welding cells, fixtures, and basic welding processes.
Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting, including diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues in robotic and automation equipment.
Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance, including inspection, routine servicing, and replacement of parts to minimize downtime.
Relevant experience with industrial automation, PLCs, sensors, and safety circuits is beneficial.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Certificate, diploma, or degree in robotics, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
