Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as ingredient prep, portioning, and organizing supplies to support kitchen operations
- Buss tables and clear dining areas efficiently to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests
- Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy pots, trays, or boxes to ensure safety and prevent injury
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Support food safety management practices by adhering to food handling protocols and sanitation procedures
- Assist with operating kitchen equipment safely and responsibly while respecting kitchen health and safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation practices within a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently throughout shifts
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with food handling techniques are advantageous
