American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric OR position requiring a CA license, BLS, PALS, and prior Pediatric General OR experience.

Work in the Pediatric OR unit of a children's hospital setting
-
Variable day shifts (3x12 hours), starting either 6:45am or 8:45pm, with schedules rotated weekly based on department need
-
Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekends required
-
Ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed, within a 75+ mile radius

Uses Epic charting system

Active CA RN license in hand required

BSN required
-
Current certifications: BLS and PALS (CNOR preferred)

Minimum 3 years of RN experience required

Required experience in Pediatric General OR
-
Preferred experience in Ambulatory OR, CVOR, General OR, Pediatric CVOR, and Trauma
-
Teaching hospital experience required

Trauma Level I experience required (Trauma Level II preferred)

Epic charting experience required

Two references from most recent employer required for consideration

Provide perioperative nursing care within a pediatric operating room setting supporting a wide range of surgical specialties

Work as part of a surgical team in a teaching hospital environment

Any prior employment history with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for a rehire eligibility check

All requested RTO must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract and no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment

Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate as traveling candidates

Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be placed on the same unit, and married couples may not work together on the same unit
