Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Class A CDL driver to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties
- Operate Class A commercial trucks with manual transmission, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized vehicles
- Safely load and unload freight using manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules
- Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations during transportation and cargo handling
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, especially when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance; report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on routes
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery
- Familiarity with various trailer types such as flatbed, refrigerated trailer, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off truck
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods
- Experience in load securing, cargo handling, and using equipment like forklifts for loading/unloading when required
- Strong understanding of logistics processes and route planning using GPS navigation systems
- Physical ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks and perform vehicle inspections as needed

Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 per week
