Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Millwright Apprentice and embark on a rewarding journey into industrial maintenance and machinery expertise. Duties
- Assist in installing, aligning, and assembling machinery using precision measuring instruments and schematics
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using electrical diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters
- Support equipment troubleshooting and repair activities following engineering troubleshooting procedures
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately
- Operate scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas during maintenance tasks
- Document maintenance activities and equipment status using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Skills
- Manufacturing facility experience with a focus on industrial maintenance or mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including electrical troubleshooting, electrical blueprint reading, and low voltage wiring
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and HVAC/R systems
- Experience with equipment troubleshooting, repair techniques, and precision measurement tools
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with welding ( welding if applicable), low voltage wiring, and industrial electrician practices
- Customer service orientation with excellent analysis skills to identify root causes of issues quickly
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics for effective troubleshooting
- Mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery including pumps, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes
- Ability to work safely at heights using scissor lifts or other access equipment while adhering to safety protocols
