Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and correct entry
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage cash handling, billing, and cashiering duties accurately at the end of each shift
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle guest inquiries professionally
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy service hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently and effectively increase sales through suggestive selling techniques
- Previous experience with OpenTable reservations or similar booking systems is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
- Experience in serving or host/hostess roles that involve guest relations and seating arrangements
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is advantageous for understanding food preparation and presentation standards
