Cardiovascular Billing Specialist
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our established cardiovascular practice. Experience in cardiovascular billing is preferred, but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims
- Manage claim denials, appeals, and payment posting
- Verify insurance benefits and authorizations
- Review documentation and coding for billing accuracy
- Work closely with providers and clinical staff to optimize reimbursement
- Maintain accurate patient billing records
- Communicate professionally with insurance companies and patients regarding billing questions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical billing, preferably cardiology/cardiovascular
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and modifier usage
- Familiarity with Medicare, commercial insurance, and Medicare Advantage plans
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with EMR/EHR and billing software preferred (Cerner)
