Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our team at the Oceanic Tiki Bar and Barefoot Bar. We are looking to hire for both day and night shifts. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in bartending with a flexible schedule, a sense of ownership of their work area and good communication skills. Hourly pay is well above the normal bartending average.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Manage multiple drink orders efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, maintaining accuracy in cash handling and order processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with state and local regulations.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
- Keep track of inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and assist with opening or closing procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender
- Ability to multitask
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse clientele warmly and professionally.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple orders swiftly during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math understanding, and managing tabs or bills.
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in various environments including nightclubs or catering events; familiarity with food service operations is advantageous.
