Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications and blueprints. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, safety standards, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Fabricator/Welder will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Operate welding equipment, including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) for various metal types.
- Perform plasma cutting and machining tasks as required for fabrication projects.
- Assemble metal components and structures according to established codes and standards.
- Utilize cranes and forklifts for moving materials and finished products safely within the workspace.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings is essential.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of industry codes and standards related to fabrication and welding practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in assembly tasks.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members on projects.
- Able to routinely lift and maneuver 50lb loads
