Core Responsibilities-
Act as the Engineer of Record for sophisticated structural retrofit and repair tasks.

Create, evaluate, and certify structural designs to ensure full compliance with California Building Code and local regulations.

Manage the review of technical calculations and plan development to maintain high quality standards.

Mentor and guide our engineering, drafting, and technical staff to foster professional growth.

Conduct peer reviews to help maintain consistent engineering quality across all projects.

Partner with our executive, production, and sales teams to drive successful project results.

Perform site visits and structural observations to assist the team in maintaining project integrity.

Facilitate communication with local building departments to support the permit approval process.

Refine and enhance our internal engineering systems and best practices.

Provide technical guidance during pre-construction phases to assist with complex project scoping.
Required Qualifications-
Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.

Current California Structural Engineer (SE) license.

Over 15 years of progressively responsible experience in the structural engineering field.

Deep expertise in steel, concrete, wood framing, foundations, and retrofit systems.

Comprehensive understanding of local permitting requirements and the California Building Code.

Advanced proficiency in design software such as RISA, RAM, Revit, or CAD.

Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications-
Background working within a design-build environment.

Familiarity with permitting processes and jurisdictions across Southern California.
