Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various massage techniques and therapies, with a focus on patient care and pain management. This role requires the ability to assess individual client needs, provide effective treatments, and contribute to a healing environment that promotes overall well-being. Newly licensed massage therapists are also encouraged to apply!
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate massage techniques and treatment plans.
- Administer various types of massages including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual client needs.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to address specific pain points and promote healing.
- Maintain accurate records of treatments provided and client progress, ensuring adherence to medical terminology standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients and addressing their concerns effectively.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to support comprehensive patient care.
Skills
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to empathize with clients' needs.
- Proficiency in pain management techniques and trigger point therapy.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practices.
- Excellent customer service skills that foster positive client relationships.
- Knowledge of deep tissue massage techniques and their applications.
Timeline will be as follows:
- Phone screening: 15-20 minutes
- In person interview: 1 hour session (20-30 minute massage)
- Manual/training session (if needed): 1-2 days depending on skill level
