Position Overview
TSUNAMI USA is seeking a Field Service & Installation Technician to support our customers throughout the Washington, DC and Northern Virginia region.
This is an independent, field-based role ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with networking, electrical, or camera systems.
While installation work is part of the position, the majority of your time will be spent troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing equipment such as:
- Point-to-point wireless radios
- Power systems and electrical components
- Routers and networking equipment
- Network Video Recorders (NVRs)
- TSUNAMI camera systems
Stafford, VA is the preferred home base. Candidates located in Fredericksburg, Woodbridge, Springfield, Alexandria, or surrounding areas will also be considered.
ResponsibilitiesService & Troubleshooting (Primary Duties)
- Respond to service requests within 24-48 hours, Monday through Friday
- Troubleshoot networking, electrical, and camera system issues
- Diagnose and repair:
- Point-to-point wireless infrastructure
- Power systems
- Routers and networking hardware
- NVRs
- TSUNAMI camera equipment
- Replace faulty hardware and components as needed
- Document work performed and service outcomes
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers when necessary
Installation Duties
- Learn and become proficient in all TSUNAMI installation methods
- Install systems on poles, buildings, and other structures
- Work at heights of 20+ feet using ladders or lifts
- Pull and terminate Cat6 cable through buildings, attics, conduits, and other environments
- Work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
- Independently manage your schedule, vehicle, and equipment
- Assist customers during installation and service visits as needed
Travel & Coverage
- Travel throughout the Washington, DC and Richmond, VA regions
- Maintain a reasonable 24-48 hour onsite response time
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of networking and/or electrical troubleshooting experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working at heights of 20+ feet
- Reliable service vehicle (truck preferred for ladder transport)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physical address capable of receiving equipment shipments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to cover the Washington, DC and Richmond service areas
Preferred Qualifications
- IP networking experience
- Security camera installation or service experience
- Point-to-point wireless networking experience
- Cat6 installation and termination experience
- Familiarity with routers, switches, and NVRs
- Ownership of a mobile lift (helpful but not required)
