Responsible for assisting the Cook Manager in the successful operation of the school cafeteria by encouraging maximum student participation with positive customer service. Applicant must have the flexibility to assume Cook Managers responsibilities and schedule in their absence. Responsible for adhering to local, state and federal regulations regarding School Food Service and the Child Nutrition Program. Assists and participates in food preparation, optimizing and maintaining high standards in nutrition, food flavor, appearance and presentation.
Assists in inventory control, ordering, receiving, record keeping, daily and monthly reporting of income and meal counts. Communicates effectively with food service staff, food service director, school faculty and administration and students. Displays a high level of personal and professional integrity in the performance of duties. Accomplishes all tasks in a manner that promotes excellent customer service.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
