Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to seniors in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and manage behaviors associated with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up living spaces
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and provide transportation as needed
- Engage in meaningful conversation and activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate supervisor
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in senior care or a related field is required
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others
- Knowledge of senior care best practices
- Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with clients and staff
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle emergencies calmly and efficiently
