Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in meal preparation and fine dining settings. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests. Experience with breakfast is a plus.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the planning and execution of menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Participate in daily prep work, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Follow proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with fine dining standards and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
- Basic understanding of menu planning and kitchen operations.
- Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
