Certified Medical Examiner (CME) – $100/Hour | Weekly Pay | 6-Week Temp Assignment
We are seeking a Certified Medical Examiner (CME) for an ASAP temporary assignment performing physical examinations for commercial drivers and school transportation personnel in NYC.
This is an excellent opportunity for a medical provider looking for a flexible schedule and $100 per hour with weekly pay.
Position Details

- Schedule: 3 days per week
- Preferred Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and one additional day per week
- Schedule Flexibility: Open to the provider's availability
Job Responsibilities
The Certified Medical Examiner (CME) will perform physical examinations for:
- CDL (Commercial Driver's License) applicants/drivers
- NYC school bus drivers
- School bus matrons/bus monitors
- Other school transportation personnel as required
The provider will be responsible for conducting examinations in accordance with applicable FMCSA/DOT requirements and completing all required medical examination documentation.
Certification Requirement
FMCSA Certified Medical Examiner (CME) certification is required.
The medical provider must become a Certified Medical Examiner (CME) and register with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry in order to perform the required CDL/DOT examinations.
Candidates who are already FMCSA Certified Medical Examiners and registered with the National Registry are strongly preferred and will be a major plus.
Providers who are not yet certified must be willing and able to complete the CME certification and FMCSA National Registry registration process.
