Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java, JavaScript frameworks (such as React or Angular), and other programming languages like C#, Python, or C++.
- Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs to enhance application functionality.
- Develop and optimize database schemas using SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to plan sprints, conduct code reviews, and deliver high-quality software through continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing tools like GitHub, GitLab, or SVN.
- Architect system components with a focus on scalability, security (including RBAC), and maintainability by applying design patterns and system design principles.
- Work with cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS or Azure to deploy, monitor, and optimize applications in cloud environments.
- Contribute to front-end development efforts using JavaScript frameworks like React or Express.js to create engaging user interfaces.
- Participate in system design discussions for microservices architecture and ensure adherence to best practices for software engineering.
- Maintain version control repositories, document code changes thoroughly, and support ongoing system enhancements.
Experience
- Proven software development experience with a strong background in web development and application programming using Java, C#, Python, or C++.
- Hands-on experience designing scalable systems with microservices architecture in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, system security protocols including RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), and API integration techniques.
- Familiarity with front-end development using JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular along with back-end technologies such as Node.js or Express.js.
- Knowledge of database management systems including MySQL or SQL Server; experience with database schema design and optimization is preferred.
- Experience working within Agile software development methodologies—participating in sprints, stand-ups, and iterative releases—using tools like GitHub or SVN for version control.
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles including design patterns, system scalability, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment processes; familiarity with cloud infrastructure management is advantageous.
