The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house (FOH) operations in the restaurant during opening, mid and closing shifts. Key responsibilities include the hiring, training, development and discipline of all front-of-house team members, managing the guest experience to ensure that it is always up to The Gold Standard, overseeing the quality of our food and beverages, preparing and modifying schedules for the FOH team, and managing inventories and labor to budget. The AGM should always have his/her finger on the pulse of both the restaurant and community in order to strengthen the restaurant’s ability to reach and exceed sales goals. The AGM is also charged with improving and enhancing daily operations to ensure that The Metropolitan Hospitality Group (MHG) is continually striving to be the very best.
Reports to: General Manager and Director of Operations
Compensation: $75,000-$85,000 with potential incentives and bonuses based on profitability and financial performance

Day To Day:
· Shift Execution:
o Perform opening, mid and closing shift duties
o Manage daily operations including cleanliness, organization, revenue opportunities and staffing
o Exercise discretion and independent judgment in facilitating zone management
o Ability to quickly and accurately identify critical information and make independent judgments in accordance with the philosophies and business practices of MHG
· Guest Relations Management:
o Manage guest relations and guest recovery
o Provide exceptional guest service, thereby setting the standard for all employees
o Monitor staff performance and hold staff accountable for their performance, ensuring guest's experiences meet The Gold Standard
· Personnel Management:
o Make hiring and termination decisions and/or recommendations to General Manager
o Train, coach, develop and discipline all front-of-house employees through ongoing feedback and the establishment of performance expectations
o Facilitate and participate in on-going education for team members including creating training programs
· Operational Execution:
o Manage labor, supplies and beverage/food costs to budget
o Manage weekly ordering of supplies
o Manage supplies orders and inventory and maintain records of purchases
o Coordinate purchases and invoices with Accounting Department to ensure timely payment
o Manage all necessary repair and maintenance issues
o Ensure safety & sanitation
o Ensure restaurant and bar is in complete compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
o Observe employees to ensure the safe service of alcohol
o Accurately execute MHG initiatives and policies with improvement to quality, service, and operations
o Engage in local restaurant marketing, sales building, and community involvement
Who You Are:

· You have 2+ years of management experience in high-volume, fast-paced restaurants. Leadership experience in a $5 million+ restaurant is a plus.
· You possess strong leadership skills with experience managing manager teams and hourly staff.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
