About the Job
Thriveworks is looking for a Care Partnerships Associate to expand access to behavioral healthcare by building and strengthening relationships with healthcare organizations and referral partners. This externally facing role combines business development, relationship management, and territory strategy, with a focus on developing referral opportunities and driving measurable growth. The ideal candidate is proactive, data-driven, and comfortable managing relationships from initial outreach through long-term partnership growth.
Grow Referral Partnerships
Manage a portfolio of healthcare partners and referral sources to increase referrals and new client visits.
Develop strategies to grow existing partnerships and build new referral relationships.
Identify high-potential providers, practices, specialties, and healthcare organizations within assigned markets.
Use referral and account data to prioritize outreach, identify opportunities, and re-engage declining or inactive partners.
Build Healthcare Relationships
Develop relationships with physicians, APPs, practice managers, referral coordinators, care managers, social workers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
Conduct proactive outreach through phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person engagement when appropriate.
Educate partners on Thriveworks services, referral pathways, availability, locations, specialties, and accepted insurance.
Serve as a trusted point of contact and build relationships across multiple levels of strategic accounts.
Improve the Referral Experience
Help partners navigate the Thriveworks referral process and remove barriers to patient access.
Promote adoption of referral tools, including the Patient Referral Dashboard.
Identify recurring partner needs and collaborate internally to improve the referral experience.
Develop Your Territory
Research healthcare markets and identify new partnership opportunities.
Build relationships with health systems, physician groups, primary care, OB/GYN, specialty practices, urgent care, and other referral sources.
Prioritize accounts based on referral potential, performance, and strategic value.
Use Data to Drive Performance
Maintain accurate account and activity information in Salesforce.
Use CRM, dashboards, and referral data to evaluate performance and prioritize opportunities.
Maintain strong follow-through on partner commitments, meetings, and growth opportunities.
Collaborate Across Thriveworks
Partner with Growth, Marketing, Clinical Operations, Analytics, Patient Access, Billing, and other teams to address partner needs and support growth.
Connect partners with the appropriate internal resources when issues fall outside the scope of Care Partnerships.
2–5 years of experience in business development, healthcare outreach, sales, account management, provider relations, or a related field.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
Confidence with outbound outreach and developing new relationships.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize opportunities independently.
Comfort using data and performance metrics to drive decisions.
CRM experience; Salesforce strongly preferred.
Strong ownership, organization, and follow-through.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Success is measured by both activity and outcomes, including:

Expansion across providers, offices, departments, and locations
Effective outbound outreach and account management
