We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Ortho/Trauma) for a 13-week travel assignment. This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with orthopedic and trauma-related conditions in a fast-paced acute care environment. - Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Ortho/Trauma)
- Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
- Shift: Nights – 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Start Date: August 10, 2026
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours per week (48-hour option may be available)
Requirements
- Active RN license (pending license may be considered).
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience.
- Previous travel experience not required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS and CPI certifications preferred.
- Epic charting experience preferred.
- Experience in Orthopedic, Trauma, Med/Surg, or Telemetry settings preferred.
- Must be willing to float within scope to other inpatient care areas as needed.
- Strong knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and manage PICC lines as required.
- Care for patients with orthopedic and trauma-related conditions, including chest tubes, tracheostomies, wound vacs, feeding tubes, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
- Monitor telemetry when required and respond appropriately to patient emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress.
- Prioritize patient care in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.
Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,300.00 per week
