Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow
- Take and relay accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Assist servers with guest needs, ensuring timely delivery of food and drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area
- Answer phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, providing information and making reservations
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless dining experience for all guests
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members
- Experience with food service operations, including serving and guest services
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating warmth, professionalism, and patience
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hotel or hospitality industry standards is a plus
- Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential
