Most of our work involves one-off/prototype builds and short-run production, requiring precision, adaptability, and attention to detail.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator with strong blueprint reading, layout, MIG/TIG welding, and PVC pipe fitting skills. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team ensuring high-quality standards are met while adhering to safety protocols.
This role also includes limited travel (approximately 10%) for service work at customer sites.
We are looking for a motivated individual who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and enjoys the daily challenges of custom projects. Punctuality and reliable attendance are essential to meet customer deadlines.
Compensation & Growth
- Pay range starting at: $30.00 /hr.
- $1,500.00 Sign on bonus
- Evaluation Period: Potential pay increase after 90 days based on performance.
- Schedule: Full-time, with overtime opportunities and up to 10% travel.
- Development: Bi-annual performance reviews with feedback on growth and compensation.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, fit, and weld equipment according to engineering blueprints within specified tolerances.
- Perform welding processes:
- - Flat welding (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) in 1G, 1F, and 2F positions.
- - Out-of-position welding (2G, 5G, 6G, 3F, 4F) – preferred but not required.
- Fit and assemble PVC piping systems, including cutting, gluing, threading, and installing fittings from ½” to 12” diameter.
- Use plasma cutters and oxy-acetylene torches (freehand and with guides).
- Work with material thicknesses from 24 gauge to ½ inch.
- Weld mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Assemble equipment per engineering drawings.
- Safely operate fabrication tools: overhead crane, hi-lo, saws, drill press, etc.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools
- Accurately use measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, angle finders, etc.).
- Perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, twisting, climbing, and lifting up to 60 lbs for 10-hour shifts.
- Travel up to 10% of the time for service work, including installation and support at customer facilities
- Conduct assembly of components while ensuring compliance with ASME codes and standards.
- Execute pipe threading, rigging, and other mechanical tasks as required.
- Contribute to general shop work and assist team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
- MIG/TIG welding experience (mild and stainless steel).
- PVC pipe fitting and assembly experience.
- Basic hand tools required (sockets, wrenches, hammers, etc.).
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime with 2–3 days’ notice.
- AWS certifications are a plus (not required).
- Must pass background check and drug test.

- Describe your process for fitting a stainless steel pipe spool to ensure proper alignment, minimal weld distortion, and good fit-up before welding.

Experience:
- PVC Fitting/Gluing in an industrial application: 1 year (Preferred)
- Fabrication/Fitting: 4 years (Required)
- TIG welding 304ss plate and pipe: 4 years (Required)
- MIG welding 304ss and Carbon Steel: 4 years (Required)
