We need an Apartment Manager with strong leasing skills to take over one of our affordable housing communities in south Oklahoma City and lead it through a lease-up. This property has high vacancy — we need someone who knows how to fill units, fast and right. Strong leasing background required; we'll train you on the rest.
What You'll Do
- Lead the lease-up. Market and lease available units to bring the community to full occupancy, then keep it there.
- Oversee daily operations, collections, showings, marketing, housing authority liaison, inspections, and occupancy checks for your assigned community
- Keep advertising current and Fair Housing-compliant, updated daily
- Screen applications, enforce lease violations, and handle collections per state and federal law
- Collect rent and post payments accordingly in Rent Manager
- Complete move-in/move-out inspections (move-out report within 48 hours)
- Manage work orders, maintenance scheduling, and vendor invoices (bids required over $1,000)
- Bonus leasing opportunities available leasing units at other company properties
What You Need
- Strong, demonstrated leasing experience — required
- A track record of leasing up high-vacancy properties or strong closing rates
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently on-site
- Property management, affordable housing, or Rent Manager experience a plus — not required
Compensation
$17.00–$19.00/hour based on experience, plus leasing bonus opportunities. A reduced-rate on-site apartment is available for the right candidate. On-the-job training provided with a path into full apartment management.
