Position Summary
ManCave Barbershop – Glades Plaza is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Salon Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our clients. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, efficiently manage appointments, and ensure the front desk operates smoothly while creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome clients with a warm and professional attitude.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using the salon booking system.
- Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries.
- Check clients in and out, process payments, and issue receipts.
- Promote salon services, memberships, retail products, and special promotions.
- Maintain accurate client records and update customer information.
- Coordinate with barbers and stylists to ensure appointments run on schedule.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and inviting.
- Assist with inventory by monitoring retail product levels and notifying management when supplies need to be reordered.
- Resolve client concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Support daily opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or a salon/barbershop environment preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer skills and experience with appointment scheduling software (Squire experience is a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Preferred Skills
- Cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience.
- Ability to recommend products and services to clients.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
