Our team is led by some of the most respected coffee professionals in the industry, including world-renowned coffee sensory educator. RHQ is in a significant growth phase, and we're looking for a highly motivated leader to help build and scale the business.
Position Overview
This is not a traditional manager position.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, self-starting Operations & Growth Manager who can help run and grow RHQ with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate thrives in a startup environment, enjoys creating systems from scratch, takes ownership of projects, and is excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing coffee company.
This role requires someone who can move seamlessly between operations, sales, customer relationships, event coordination, business development, and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Administration
- Oversee day-to-day operations of RHQ
- Develop and improve systems, processes, and workflows
- Manage schedules, project timelines, and client communications
- Coordinate educational events, classes, and consulting engagements
- Ensure operational excellence across all areas of the business
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Grow enrollment in roasting and coffee education courses
- Build relationships with roasters, cafes, coffee companies, and industry professionals
- Support wholesale coffee and consulting growth initiatives
- Represent RHQ at industry events and networking opportunities
Customer Experience
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students and clients
- Ensure an exceptional experience for course attendees and consulting clients
- Maintain strong relationships with industry partners
Strategic Growth
- Work directly with leadership to identify growth opportunities
- Help launch new educational programs and services
- Create systems that allow RHQ to scale efficiently
- Take ownership of projects and execute them independently
Qualifications
Required

Preferred (Not Required)
- Q Grader certification
- Coffee roasting experience
- Cupping and sensory evaluation experience
- Coffee industry experience
- Experience in sales, operations, or business development
- Experience managing events, education programs, or client services

Compensation
- Base Salary: $55,000 annually + Commission
- Commission Opportunities: Additional compensation tied to business growth and sales performance
