Distribution Associate II (Forklift)
Pay: $22.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire
We are seeking a dependable Distribution Associate II (Forklift) to join our warehouse team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for an individual who is reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Important: The 7:30 AM start time is a firm requirement, as it aligns with daily truck deliveries. Punctuality is essential.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against shipping documentation.
- Inspect incoming goods for accuracy and condition.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications.
- Put inventory away in designated storage locations.
- Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation using computerized systems.
- Route materials to stock or inspection areas as needed.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including a sit-down electric forklift and hydraulic lift equipment.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or distribution experience.
- Experience operating a sit-down electric forklift required; Basiloid forklift experience is preferred.
- SAP experience is highly preferred and will be given priority consideration.
- Strong order picking and inventory handling skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record may be required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
