Lead Cook Cashier
Hourly Position - $18.04/HR
Must be flexible to work Days, Swings, and Overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Café & Deli Manager, the Lead Cook/Cashier is responsible for actively training and mentoring Team Members in accordance to Naskila guest service standards, the standard operating procedures of the department, safety, and sanitation expectations. This position will provide a layer of accountability, support, and knowledge to the team while ensuring exceptional guest service is provided.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Successfully follows the Naskila Casino and Food & Beverage mission statements.
- Obtain and maintain all required certifications and training deemed necessary by the department.

Adheres to all company and department policies and procedures.

Greets guests courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure guest satisfaction.

Train Team Members on the standard operating procedures of the department.
-
Ensure Team Members are meeting guest service expectations, timing and cleaning standards, and safety procedures.
- Address guest concerns and resolve guest issues efficiently.

Support Team Members, while also holding them accountable.
- Ensures proper preparation and handling of all food items.

Maintain high standards of quality and appearance of all food items prepared and served.

Relays relevant information, comments, and concerns from guests to supervisors.

Responsible for Point of Sales (POS) register, and adequately completing transactions for payment of all food items.

Maintains sanitation and upkeep of all equipment, supplies, and utensils, at all times.

Serves guests in a prompt and efficient manner, preventing potential delays in service lines.

Responsible for cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas at all times, in compliance will all health codes.

Timely complete all assigned duties, including prep, storage, cleaning, and inventory.

Prepares, submits and communicates all necessary documentation, including reports and checklists to the Café & Deli Manager.

Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:

High school diploma/GED.
-
Experience using POS and handling cash.
-
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a restaurant setting.
Skills and Abilities:
-
Ability to work under pressure.
-
Ability to establish rapport and effectively communicate with guests and Team Members.

Ability to work from standardized recipes.
PREFERRED
Education and Experience:
-
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a leadership role.

Food handlers/SafeServe certification.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Must possess sensitivity to the Native American culture.

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.

Must comply with all Naskila Casino Policies.

Must successfully complete an Introductory Period.

Must be able to communicate and interact with Guests, fellow Team Members, and Management in a professional and courteous manner.

Must follow all Safety Rules and Regulations.

Must adhere to Dress Code and Appearance Policies.

Must maintain and wear uniform provided by Naskila Casino, if applicable.

Practice good personal hygiene.
