Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products related to gardening, landscaping, lawn care, and floral design.
- Provide expert advice on plant identification, horticulture techniques, and landscape maintenance to help customers make informed decisions.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for cashiering, cash handling, and retail math calculations.
- Maintain attractive product displays through merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing inventory to enhance the shopping environment.
- Support e-commerce initiatives by processing online orders and coordinating in-store pickup or delivery options.
- Answer customer inquiries via phone communication with professionalism and clarity, ensuring excellent service at all touchpoints.
- Assist with outdoor work activities such as plant care, garden setup, or landscape maintenance when needed to support store operations.
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for outdoor work and gardening is essential.
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, floral design, or plant identification will be highly valued.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs effectively.
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—are vital for engaging with customers and team members alike.
