American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool night shift position requiring prior travel experience, Epic proficiency, and comfort floating across multiple ICU environments.

Critical Care Float Pool position within a large academic medical center
-
Float coverage across multiple ICU environments including Neuro/Trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Every other weekend required

Rotating holiday coverage required
-
No blocked scheduling
-
Epic EMR required
-
Active NY RN license required at time of consideration

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Prior travel nursing experience required
-
AHA or RQI certifications required (copies must be provided)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

US Social Security Number required

Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations will not be accepted

Must pass an ICU competency test (2 attempts allowed)

Experience at a Level I trauma center is highly preferred for this role

Experience floating to a variety of ICU settings is strongly desired

Navy blue scrubs required

Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible for this position: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
