Duties
- Support lead teachers in executing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
- Assist in creating a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote language development, early literacy skills, and foundational math concepts.
- Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and working with specialists when necessary.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and classroom events.
- Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials for lessons and ensuring a clean, orderly space conducive to learning.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, including Montessori or preschool methodologies.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with autism or disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and children.
- Ability to implement lesson plans focused on literacy education, math skills, and behavior management strategies.
- Experience with classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
