Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting students in the San Juan Capistrano area as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time assignment covers two educational settings: a preschool and a middle school. You'll make a direct impact, working with young learners and adolescents to help them achieve their communication goals. This role begins mid-October and continues for the duration of a leave of absence, with exact end date to be determined.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active California SLP license in good standing
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations
- Strong skills in assessment, therapy planning, and IEP documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Adaptability to work across preschool and middle school environments
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing speech and language therapy to students ages preschool through middle school
- Developing treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive student support
- Conducting assessments and contributing to IEP meetings
- Maintaining thorough, timely documentation in accordance with school standards
- Supporting positive outcomes for students with diverse speech, language, and communication challenges
