Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments, while maintaining accuracy
- Upsell menu items, including wine and spirits, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktail service and beverage refills, maintaining presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or high-volume settings
- Strong knowledge of Toast is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and handle diverse needs professionally
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
