Position Description:
This is a full-time in-person position, Monday – Friday, 9 am-5 pm. Pay scale is $17-$19 per hour based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
We seek a team player who is comfortable adapting to our ever-changing needs and willing to take on new challenges. Required skills – Ability to answer phones, greet visitors in a welcoming way, have good communication skills, and pay attention to details.
- Greet and assist members, prospective members, and guests
- Professionally answer phone calls
- Support of the daily operations of the synagogue. This includes a wide range of tasks, including database management and other office duties.
- Ability to work with and support our congregants, volunteers, teachers, staff, and students.
- Power user of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Drive.
- Experience using a variety of databases and the ability to learn new systems.
- Initiative, sound judgment, and ability to respond resourcefully in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Attention to the accuracy and visual presentation of printed and electronic documents.
- Ability to interact and effectively communicate and take detailed messages if needed.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- 2-3 years of office experience.
- Comfortable working with volunteers, teachers, students, and guests.
