The Opportunity
Take the lead on our beverage operations at one of the city’s premier cultural venues. Sodexo Live! is seeking an experienced and dynamic Beverage Supervisor to oversee all bar and beverage service at Benaroya Hall. You will be responsible for driving a high-quality beverage program, ensuring responsible service, and leading a team of talented bartenders and barbacks during major performances and events.
If you have a strong background in high-volume bar management, a deep understanding of beverage logistics, and a commitment to delivering a premium guest experience, we want you on our team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the Operation: Supervise, train, and schedule bartenders and barbacks across multiple bar locations within the venue, ensuring all bars are fully prepped for service.
- Drive Excellence: Guarantee efficient, high-quality beverage service during intense rushes and intermissions, actively supporting the staff on the floor when volume peaks.
- Ensure Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all local liquor laws, age verification policies, and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Manage Transactions & Inventory: Oversee point-of-sale (POS) operations, troubleshoot system issues, monitor pour costs, and track inventory closely before, during, and after events.
- Empower the Team: Coach team members on standard recipes, speed of service, and elevated customer interaction.
What You Bring
- Proven supervisory experience in high-volume bars, nightclubs, premium venue concessions, or fine dining beverage programs.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and classic cocktail preparation.
- Experience managing POS systems, transaction reconciliation, and beverage inventory logistics.
- Thorough understanding of responsible alcohol service regulations (current local alcohol server certification required).
- An energetic, level-headed leadership style that keeps morale high and service running smoothly under pressure.
