Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Assist customers with product selections, answer questions, and offer personalized recommendations
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits of merchandise
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Upsell additional items by suggesting complementary products to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor is clean, inviting, and well-stocked
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, processing shipments, and conducting regular stock checks
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and basic retail math calculation
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in retail or grocery store environments
- Supervising experience preferred; capable of guiding team members during shifts when necessary
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in person and over the phone
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
- Skilled in merchandising techniques to create attractive displays that enhance product visibility
- Experience in product demos, upselling, and customer service excellence is highly valued
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving our diverse clientele effectively
- Familiarity with stocking procedures, inventory management, and basic cashiering functions
